Ladies Salsa on1 Styling and Dance Floor Confidence Workshop

It's time to bring out the sassy in Salsa, ladies!

Have you considered how, as time has passed, women no longer have regular opportunities to show our graceful, elegant, or subtly flirtatious and mysterious sides? Well, we’re lucky because the one safe place where this is still allowed is on a Latin dance floor, and ladies, I intend to bring out that inner diva and remind you just how beautiful and desirable you are!

This workshop focuses on teaching the fundamentals of ladies' styling and encouraging self-confidence in doing so. It is ideal for those with little or no experience but also those who struggle with body movement and styling in their social dancing or lack the self-confidence to do so. This workshop is only suitable for ladies who have a minimum of 16 weeks of salsa, as basic footwork and turns will not be covered.

I know from experience that many ladies can be fearful and even embarrassed on the dance floor because they don't want to stand out in case they do something incorrect or give off the wrong signal. Well, you will be taught how to overcome these problems and conquer those fears without judgment!

The intention of the workshop is to build your confidence and teach simple, sensual body-isolation, which you can incorporate into your dancing and make it your own. Some of the exciting content we will cover will look at footwork and how this affects other parts of the body when you move, and how it can change your dancing for the better. Armography and how to create elegant and sensual movements incorporating your arms, wrists, hands and fingers in both solo and partnership work is another area we will cover, plus much more!

There is so much I’d love to teach you, but we will focus on key styling areas so that there is enough time to really practice what you are being taught. While the classes will be structured, the speed of the class will be determined by the students.

The class size will be kept to a small group, so there is time for extra attention to individuals if it’s required during the class. Where: Studio, Everlast Gym, Imperial Retail Park, Bristol, BS13 7TJ {next to Sports Direct, the door on the left of the building)
Cost: £25 on arrival (cash only: We will not be able to accept card payments at the gym!)

Students must be confident in the fundamental Salsa steps to attend this course, as the basic footwork will not be taught.

You will need to bring a drink(s) and a snack (although there is an M&S Food Hall next door, plus other food options at the retail park), and heels if you wear them.
