Ulises Roberto
Ulises was born in Havana, Cuba where his culture initiated his life-long dance experience. He initially trained for 5 years with ‘Tony Mendez' at The Cuban International Dance Co. He then went on to sing and dance at the Cabaret Tropicana bajo Las Estella's and the Cabaret Parisien which is the National Hotel of Cuba. Then following a short acting career, Ulises turned his talent to teaching and has taught and performed alongside top teachers & entertainers from Cuba and indeed all over the world. These include (in no particular order): Janet Fuentes Torres - triple world open Champion, Rafael De Busto, Leandro Cheranga, Moe Flex, Rohan Brown, Iris De Brito, Osbanis Tejeda, Enrique Perez and many more... Further, Ulises was part of the team that performed Rueda in the Guy Ritchie motion picture - Rock and Rola alongside Moe Flex, Enrique Perez and Rohan Brown.
Now aged 35 and having spent 5 years in England, Ulises has teamed up with ‘La Chica Del Reggaeton' aka the beautiful Natalie Ward. They have formed a Cuban Salsa company for which they provide classes, performances and Latin music. They were booked for guest appearances at The UK Cuban Congress twice this year! Ulises specialises in the Afro-Cuban dance forms; Son, Casino, La Rueda, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba and other such traditional dances. His approach includes learning to use body language to tell the stories of the Cuban culture through the dance. He is a fun and thorough teacher who is now reaching the next level in his dance career.  Other work:  |
