Bachata
Bachata was born in the Dominican republic and with it continuing to be so increasingly popular, we have two classes and levels available. Whether you have never danced this hot Latin dance or describe yourself as a seasoned bachatero, we have a class for you. In fact if you are an experienced bachatero, why not have a lesson with the very man who bought bachata to England, Wilson Castro.

Kizomba Basics
Kizomba - Angola and Portugal are responsible for this beautiful dance. It is the latest Afrophenomenon sweeping across the UK's dance floors right now. The dance is simple yet captivating and the music is mesmerising. Ian & Sara will be teaching Kizomba for the experienced dancer as well as a complete beginners class.

Ladies styling
These classes will cover the basic and the more advanced aspects of styling necessary for the dance floor. During these classes you will experience how dancing is more than just basic movement and that your body is an instrument to express your passion. You will learn a short choreographed routine that will focus on balance, posture and presentation. A must to take your dancing to the next level.

(An 8 week improver's styling course is presently available at our weekly Thursdays class http://www.salsabristol.co.uk/8-week-ladies-styling-course.html)

Dips and Tricks
This class is for Intermediate dancers only. You must be medically aware of any injuries you have and participants must enter in partners as there will be no class rotation. You take this class at your own risk so go with a partner you trust. Limited places, first come first served!

Rueda
A fun way to dance salsa. Dancers form a circle and carry out moves which are called by one person ("lider" in Spanish). Many of the moves are repeated as partners are swapped in a dynamic and exhilarating manner. A class guaranteed to be full of laughter and smiles as when one person goes wrong it effects the couples surrounding them. Two classes available but you must have some previous experience to attend the daytime workshop. One class during the day, one at the party!

Reggaeton
Reggaetons origins come from Panama and Puerto Rico. With its popularity rapidly on the rise world wide, you won't want to miss out on this high energy upbeat class! The class will have a strong focus on body isolation, increasing movement and flexibility through a combination of hot and energetic routines. No partner is required and beginners as well as seasoned dancers are welcome. Reggaeton is presently vogue in Cuba.

Boogaloo
This class will be highly energetic!
Boogaloo is a mixture of styles including; mambo, R&B, jive and soul. There are many leg kicks and foot flicks so previous experience of dance is preferred for this lesson.
You will need a good level of fitness and you can expect to get hot and sweaty. Nevertheless, this will be one of the more fun classes you attend today! Oxygen please!!!!

Ladies Shines
Although salsa is usually a partner dance, danced in a handhold, there are times when you may break away and 'shine', basically a time to show off or flirt with your partner. In this workshop you will learn intricate footwork and body movement whilst improving your timing and balance.

On completion of this class, your 'Suzy Q' will be gone forever and you will delight in seeing the look of fear in your partners eye's as he realises he may just have bitten off more than he can chew!

On2
Cuban timing where pupils dance on the upbeat of 2,4,6 and 8 as opposed to the more commonly danced 1,3,5 and 7 here in the Southwest.

Give it a try.

Cuban
Whereas Cross-body salsa is danced up and down the line with the men getting on and off the line, Cuban salsa involves circular movements with the leader and follower moving around each other. Moves often include complicated arm movement. We have three classes and levels available for you today from the beginner through to intermediate level.

Turns and Spins (solo, no partner necessary)
There is a big difference watching a dancer execute a controlled turn or spin compared to one who throws themselves around. This class is suitable for all levels whether you have been dancing for years or just beginning.

Focus will be on; balance, posture, preparation, spotting and landing.

Turns and Spins in partnership
A cross-body class with two of the best teachers on the Worldwide circuit today. This workshop will include a complex turn pattern that you may well wish to video and practice. Guaranteed to enhance your repertoire.

Cha Cha Cha
A fun class for those that have little or no experience of this other Latin dance often danced at parties. Are you fed-up sitting out the few tracks that are played at most salsa parties?

Another fun class with Lee Hunter!

New York cross-body
These classes need no further description. Come and learn some new moves taught in a fun and upbeat manner with the best Cross-body teachers in the business. Richard Harris' class will be funky R&B style.

Private Lessons
Private Lessons will be available throughout the day. These lessons will need to be pre-booked so contact us for details. Our teachers normally give us special event discounts. Whatever you want to improve on, whatever level you are there will be a teacher available at some time throughout the day to teach you and with the line up we have, pick your favourite and book now!

Any level.

We hope you enjoy what we have to offer!
