'Friday Night And I like The Way you Move!'

After having Andy and Lucy over from Cardiff last year to teach we were so impressed we had to have them back again tonight.

They will be taking two lessons; A Zouk-Lambada, which is a fusion of the French Caribbean style and the Brazilian. This class is designed to give you a taste of yet another hot dance style and therefore no experience is required. Come and try it, you'll love it! This will be followed up with a high level Salsa class which is aimed at increasing your technique and repertoire.

Andy is also a top Latin DJ and our resident DJ Tim has agreed to split the air time with him so that we can all experience an hour of his favourite tunes. The floor really will be busy tonight.

In 1997 Andy and his former dance partner Marcela Moraes formed their group Danca Latina. Since then they have established themselves with all the main Latin dance companies and venues in and around London as both principle performers and Instructors. Andy has a strong background of 12 years in Martial Arts, often competing internationally. Andy is also a qualified physical trainer and he says this has helped him to create a very dynamic and physical style of dance. Andy now dances with a new partner, Lucy Powers. Together they aim to maintain the authenticity of Latin dance with just a little bit of theatrical drama thrown in. Lucy also has a strong background in dance as well as being an international athlete. Andy says Lucy brings a strong and sensuous presence to the dance floor. Oh! They are getting married in May so come and wish them the best of luck!

We do not have the smaller Somerdale room this evening so Tim will be holding the beginner's lessons in the Chill room which is behind the stage. Tim's two classes will no doubt be full of laughs, fun but yet will be challenging.

As usual you tables will be loaded with chocolate and all the other venue facilities will be available.

Doors: 7.30pm - 00.30am.
1st Lessons: 8pm - 8.45pm.
2nd Lessons: 9pm - 9.45pm.
