'A bit of Cuba comes to Bristol'
Ule Roberto came to live in England 5 years ago having been born and raised in Cuba. Although in Cuba you learn to dance as soon as you can walk, Ule has developed his skills to the point that he is now a professional dancer. Recently he completed filming the for the latest Guy Ritchie film. Â With this in mind it wouldn't have been right to have had anything other than two Cuban dance lessons tonight. The first will be a Cuban Salsa class with lots of styling and the second will be a beginners Cuban Cha Cha Cha class. Both classes will be based around the Cuban ethos of dancing being 'Hot' and 'Fun'.
In the Somerdale room will be two beginners lessons taken by Wayne and Anri. If you have taken their lessons before you know you are in for a fun class and Anri will ensure the ladies get taught styling and finesse. You don't have to wait until you are an Improver dancer to start learning styling! If we have any 'Newbies' or anyone who wants to go over the basic steps, Billy will be available to take two lessons in the chill room. He will teach you how to Mambo, Rumba, Back Step, Walk Turn, work in open and closed hold and even put together a short routine you can take to the dance floor. This is the perfect time to get some personal tuition. Â DJ's for the evening: Our resident DJ Tim will be playing the Carter room and Ule has kindly agreed to play an hour of Cuban music in the smaller Somerdale room. Following on from that Wayne is going to take to the decks for the first time and play some of his favourite music which will include both Salsa and Bachata. Â
