Friday 25th June 'The Dominican Comes To Bristol'
Venue: Fry's, Somerdale Road, Keynsham, Bristol. BS31 2AU. Time: 19.30 - 00.30. If you came to our last event in May you might have learnt what I already know, Wilson Castro is simply awesome! If you didn't, find someone who did and ask about the quality and energy he delivers in his classes. Well, we have him again tonight and following the great success and fun classes he held we have buckled to pressure and there is a change to the advertised classes on the flyers; There will now be a Boogaloo class to replace the salsa class. Wilson is the 7 times consecutive Dominican Champion and the man who bought Bachata to England, we couldn't therefore drop the Bachata class!
Wilson's profile on our teachers pages does not do the man justice. He is my personal favourite teacher/dancer/performer of all the stars we have had at Fry's. He really is a larger than life character and it is a pleasure just to be in his company. He is the most underrated teacher in the UK and you will love his lessons and the night.
Taking our beginners tonight are Billy and Aga. They will take two beginner's Cross Body style lessons in the Somerdale room. The routines will be kept simple but fun and Aga will ensure there is plenty of basic styling for the ladies to focus on. Your DJ and host for the night in the main Carter room is Tiny Tim and no doubt he will be playing all your favourite Latin tunes keeping the dance floor pack until closing time.
If we are lucky, we might be able to get Wilson to do some animation in the Somerdale room later in the evening. I'll be there for sure if he does!
