¡Hola Salseros!
We are off and working on the next party! This month we have Rosa & Giles coming down from Oxford to teach an improvers salsa lesson followed by an improvers to intermediate link lesson. Rosa & Giles have been dancing together for several years and have a dancing background that includes ballet, jazz and tap. They now teach a full range of salsa styles including; LA, New York and Cuban. As Southwest salsa dancers are primarily taught the New York cross body style, this is the style they will use. Rosa & Giles are known for holding fun classes with an up-beat tempo! I have heard it said several times that Giles likes to teach a “street” style. If you want to know what this is....... Come along on May 9th! In addition, Tim Heasman will hold two beginner lessons in a separate room. After these lessons have finished there will be time for the beginners to practise what they have learnt before this room becomes a 70’s / 80’s disco party! Yeah that’s right! As well as the main room playing salsa, bachata, cha cha and merengue its time to dust off those platform shoes, get your bell-bottoms out and strut your stuff to the funky beat of the disco years! There is good news and bad news! This month will see the last of the chocolate buffets (for now). Sorry guys but my belts on it's last notch! WWhat’s the good news? It is gona be the biggest yet with 3 chocolate fountains; white, milk and undecided (ha!). It is also open to everyone this time, just ensure we have got your mailing details and you are free to munch all you want whilst in the VIP lounge. After all that, where else would you go, where else is there to be seen?br> Be there or be square! Rosa & Giles (click here)
